Mechanical Animals for Adults (and Kids too)

We (two adults) were wowed by the huge mechanical elephant spraying water from its trunk. But there is much more at the Les Machines de l'ile in Nantes, including a remarkable carousel. I doubt kids would be any more gob-smacked than we adults were, although I am sure they would love Les Machines.

So, as I have indicated before, you would enjoy France so much more if you rent a car. You can probably take a train to Nantes, and to pretty much everywhere else, but for time-saving and flexibility there is nothing like having a car. The French roads are easy to drive on, and Google Maps or Ways are blessings.

We did not stay in Nantes, although I am sure there is much to do there besides Les Machines. We can recommend at least stopping there, perhaps on the way to Brittany where you can visit Mont Saint-Michel and many other attractions. More on those on a blog coming to you soon.
